GROWTH FOR LIFE COUNSELLING & PSYCHOTHERAPY

Hi my name is Keith; I am a qualified counsellor with a Masters degree in Person-Centred Experiential Counselling and Psychotherapy gained from the University of Nottingham.  As a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I adhere to their code of ethical practice, engage in on-going training, continuous professional development (CPD) and supervision. Prior to qualifying as a counsellor, in a professional career spanning over 30 years, I have developed a wealth of experience working with people who are going through significant life changing events.

I offer counselling for adults across the lifespan and value working with a diverse range of people from all backgrounds.  I have particular experience and interest in the areas of personal growth; dealing with anxiety and stress; trauma; self-harm; substance use as a coping mechanism; people experiencing issues around their identity and relationships with others.

Counselling sessions are generally face to face but I can offer Skype sessions for those who would prefer this method of contact.

Why come to counselling?

People access counselling for many reasons: you may have a specific issue you would like to discuss or are dealing with,  you may be finding it hard to cope with life or need to share something with someone confidentially. Counselling sessions are on a one to one basis, set in a confidential, comfortable, quiet atmosphere allowing a safe, supportive, nurturing, non-judgemental and respectful space for you to speak about and explore whatever you need to.
